The marks

Rule of Math: If it seems easy you’re doing it wrong

As a student in grade 10 marks are something that is becoming more and more important as the tests go on.  This is the last year before every test and assignment is recorded to determine the rest of our lives, so yeah its a bit stressful.  This is an especially difficult time because even though we are treated like adults we still feel like were 10.  Most of us are excited and eager to drive but we’re also excited to watch Disney movies in our PJ’s.  Noe to mention most of us have the attention span of a squirrel!

Math is getting more ridiculous than ever, whoever thought it was a good idea to involve the alphabet in math clearly had issues.  I mean, can someone please tell me when I am going to need to calculate the volume of a sphere in my day to day life because I just can’t seem to think of a scenario!  Science i understand because you need that knowledge in order to become certain things but the one thing I did not see coming was the math.  If you didn’t know already, I’m sorry to break it to you but science is really just math with more added confusing things.

Don’t even get me started on english because I honestly don’t know anymore.  You’re telling me that this poem about picking apples is actually about a man dying after a life of wonderful memories? I just don’t see how those things go together.  The Shakespeare is pretty tough too, I don’t even understand half of the teenage slang now, never-mind in the 1600’s!

I mean, I know things aren’t really that terrible since I am doing fairly well, but goodness.  I would really like to see an adult be a teenager for a day and see how they feel about vacuuming the whole house when they get home.

Sincerely,

The Snob
